The aim is to promote more sustainable transport and to meet the growing needs of users of these vehicles.

The Córdoba City Council, pending the final award, already has the two companies that will be responsible for installing up to 50 electric vehicle charging points throughout the city. In this case, the companies that submitted the best bids were the joint venture Qwello España–Ferpina Ingeniería for lots 1 and 2, and Remo Sustainable Mobility for lot 3. The contract went out to tender for just over 1 million euros with a term of 15 years, since it not only covers the installation of the charging points, but also their maintenance and operation.

More sustainable transport
As set out in the contract report, the aim is to create a network of charging points for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the city, a total of 50 with 100 spaces. The implementation of this network is intended to “encourage and facilitate the use of a more sustainable mode of transport that respects the environment, whilst aligning with the Mobility Strategy of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda,” the contract states.
