The iF DESIGN AWARD is recognised as one of the world’s most renowned design honors. Run by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany, the award has served as a global benchmark for outstanding design excellence and impact for over 70 years.
The sought-after design accolade was awarded to the Qwello CP21 and CP22 Charging Stations in the Product Design discipline as part of the iF DESIGN AWARD’s Automotive category, together with our design partner FLUID, recognising their innovative design and outstanding design features.
Two products, one cohesive design language – and a recognition that means a great deal to everyone involved. The CP21 and CP22, the next generation of urban e-charging stations, stood out among the high-caliber designs of competing entries, impressing the international jury of 129 independent design experts.
The next generation of urban charging
The CP21 and CP22 are Qwello’s second-generation charging stations, developed to advance user experience, brand presence, and durability compared to the first generation. The compact dual-charge-point family is built for modern urban infrastructure across Germany and Europe. The CP21 is suited for high-traffic deployments with its dual-display layout, while the CP22 is optimised for tighter spaces. Both models feature a distinctive triangular pole, illuminated touchpoints, and seamless integration with the digital app experience, guiding users naturally through the charging process while ensuring robust weather protection, vandalism resistance, and straightforward field maintenance.
This year’s iF DESIGN AWARD saw over 10,000 submissions from 68 countries. Winning signals Qwello as an industry leader and the CP21 and CP22 Charging Stations as among the most outstanding designs in their field – an impressive achievement that underlines the highly competitive nature and significance of this award.
