Qwello takes over public EV charging infrastructure in Nässjö, Bodafors, Malmbäck and Forserum.

Qwello Sverige AB has completed an asset deal with Nässjö Affärsverk AB (NAV), acquiring a portfolio of public EV charging stations. The transfer was finalised on 19 May 2026.

Through the asset deal, Qwello has taken over a significant number of NAV’s public charging stations for electric vehicles. As of 19 May 2026, Qwello assumes full responsibility for ownership, operation, development and customer relationships tied to the charging infrastructure.

The acquisition reflects a broader industry shift in which public EV charging is increasingly being managed by specialised commercial operators with dedicated expertise in the field.

“We see that the market for public charging has developed rapidly in recent years and that there are now private operators with specific expertise in this area. Through this transaction, we ensure that the charging infrastructure in Nässjö continues to develop, while enabling us to focus our resources on our core responsibilities”, says Patrik Cantby, CEO of Nässjö Affärsverk.

Continuity and commitment to users

To ensure continuity and a stable experience for users, the same operational provider as previously will continue to manage day-to-day operations during the transition.

“We are pleased to have been trusted with taking over the charging infrastructure in Nässjö. Our ambition is to continue developing the charging options and to ensure a stable and user-friendly charging experience for residents and visitors”, says Mark Mansour, representative of Qwello Sverige AB.

As part of the agreement, Qwello has committed to keeping all charging stations in place and operational at their existing locations — a condition that was central to the transaction.

The charging stations now under Qwello’s ownership are located in central Nässjö as well as in Bodafors, Malmbäck and Forserum, and remain open to the public. The rapid chargers for heavy vehicles and passenger cars at Gamlarp in Nässjö were not part of the asset deal and remain with NAV.
