The academic institution and the company Qwello install the largest electrical infrastructure in the field of education with cheap and slow hubs to encourage their use among young people.
Amid the bustle of buses and cars surrounding the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), sustainability and electric mobility have found their place. Since last Thursday, the UAM has become the first academic institution in Spain to have a large-scale electric vehicle charging network.
In the past semester, collaboration between Qwello, an international public charging operator, and the university has made it possible to install 40 charging points across five locations on the Cantoblanco campus. This initiative aims to bring sustainable mobility closer to students, lecturers, and staff.
